The best barrels of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon have been assembled to make a small cuvée which we have then kept for a year in the cellar before making it available to the public. This wine comes from the best parcels identified by observation and is only made when the year is exceptional. To date 2005, 2009, 2015 and 2016.A blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, the character of the two grape varieties can be found in a very concentrated and structured wine with an ageing potential of over 10 years. The characteristics of Pique Russe are there, expressive and jammy fruit, elegant and supple tannins, spicy notes, complexity, length, a great Charentes wine!
